One Rams superstar may already be rubbing off on the future of the franchise in a massive way

Second-year star Puka Nacua spent time with Cooper Kupp training. Through OTAs, that extra time appears to have worked.

It is scary for the rest of the NFL when a generational rookie talent is doing everything he can to be even better heading into his second year.

But that is exactly Puka Nacua's situation with the Los Angeles Rams. The 23-year-old wide receiver, who burst onto the scene during his rookie season, spent the last few months working with established star Cooper Kupp.

As a result of the workouts, it appears that Nacua and offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur are seeing payoffs in how he moves around the football field.

"He’s moving better," LaFleur said, via the Rams' official team website. "I know he feels more comfortable. He’s in year two and that’s what you expect from all the players, but you know that you’re going to get it from Puka because he’s just made of the right stuff. His intentions are right.”

Nacua has spent the offseason trying to find a lighter weight to play at compared to his rookie year. In April, he was down 10 pounds from the 2023 season, he said.

In losing weight, Nacua said he "feels better." This is a bad sign for opposing defenses attempting to gameplan against him in 2024.

Already Nacua has rewritten several entries into the wide receiver record books. A quicker, more mobile version of him could prove to be the NFL's biggest problem and the Los Angeles Rams' best bet to return to the postseason.
