Life for Los Angeles Rams superstar and eventual first-ballot Hall of Famer Aaron Donald is uncanny right now.
Donald is entering the final year of a three-year deal. Though that contract does have some void years over the next two seasons, it isn't guaranteed that Donald would play out the season with no assurance on what would happen next.
The Rams' general manager Les Snead offered some assurance on what he hoped would happen with Donald soon.
“Definitely hoping Aaron is," Snead said. "I know Aaron’s definitely approaching the offseason, where he’s doing his normal getting away trying to get revitalized with the goal of playing good football.”
There you have it.
The Rams clearly want to work out some form of extension with Donald in the foreseeable future.
What those numbers look like isn't known just yet. But with it hard to rationalize Donald playing without any form of down-the-line contract security, it is in the Rams' best interest to work out a deal sooner rather than later.
