We are officially in the middle of the 2025 playoff race and the Los Angeles Rams are right in the thick of it. Even if the Seattle Seahawks currently lead the NFC West.

Just as fate would have it – the Rams and Seahawks face off for the first time in Week 11. The winner of that game will take the NFCW’s top spot and for both teams, there’s an extra incentive involved that makes this matchup even more important than it already is.

Rams can take over the NFC’s top playoff seed with a win and an Eagles loss

It was the Seahawks atop the NFC heading into Monday Night Football, but that changed once the Eagles beat the Green Bay Packers. The Eagles are currently the NFC’s top seed heading into Week 11, thanks to a better conference record than the Seahawks.

The Rams, Seahawks, and Eagles are currently 7-2. So, it’s simple math: If the Rams beat the Seahawks they’ll move to 8-2 while the ‘Hawks drop to 7-3 and then if the Eagles lose to the Detroit Lions, they’ll also drop to 7-3, eliminating their head-to-head tiebreaker win over the Rams.

The Rams would have a 1.5 game lead over the Seahawks in the division and a half-game lead over the Eagles in the conference. It’d be a great spot to be in, especially considering the fact LA has one of the NFL’s hardest remaining schedules.

And, to make things even sweeter, the Seahawks could drop all the way to No. 6 in the playoff race if they lose and the Chicago Bears beat the Minnesota Vikings.

The Rams have a major opportunity to make some noise in Week 11 and with a little help, they could be kings of the NFC heading into Week 12.
