Those who wrote off the Los Angeles Rams earlier this season may want to check the NFC's latest playoff standings.

After starting the season 3-6, the Rams have won four of their last five games following their Week 10 bye week and are now the seventh seed in the NFC.

The Rams were able to take the seventh seed thanks to a couple factors. First, the Rams' 28-20 win over the Washington Commanders moved L.A. to 7-7 on the season. Second, the Green Bay Packers lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Packers beat the Rams in Week 9 so Green Bay technically owns a tiebreaker over them. However, a loss sent the Packers down to 6-8, one game below the Rams.

Another occurrence that worked in the Rams' favor was the Atlanta Falcons' loss to the Carolina Panthers. L.A. currently owns a tiebreaker over Atlanta thanks to a better conference record, but having that extra one game ahead of them makes things even better for the Rams.

L.A. also currently holds a tiebreaker over the Seattle Seahawks, but Rams fans will also be rooting against Seattle since the teams are so close in the standings.

With three games to go, the Rams have a huge game coming up in Week 16 against the New Orleans Saints, the team right below the Rams in the playoff standings. A win next week could go a long way into securing a postseason spot for L.A.
