All retirement talk for Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay stops now.

On Tuesday's J.B. Long's Rams Radio show, McVay said he plans to be the Rams' head coach in the upcoming season, with a little twist.

"That I can promise you," McVay told Long when asked whether there would be a "Coach McVay Show" next season.

McVay has long hinted at possibly retiring sometime soon. After he won the Super Bowl in February 2022, the thought of retiring first surfaced in McVay's mind.

The Rams then went 5-12 the season after, and thoughts of retirement grew louder in McVay's mind. He eventually opted to come back, stating at the time: "You don't ever want to sit here and act like you can predict the future, but it's not something that I'm looking at as a short-term type of decision. My plan is that is something that I'm committed to for the long term."

Now, he has the Rams in the NFL Playoffs again and retirement isn't an option, well at least for 2024, where McVay has a chance to etch his name in the history books again.

The 37-year-old coach sits tied with Chuck Knox, 69-48-1, for second place on the team's career regular-season wins list. John Robinson, 75-68, holds the team record.

Whether it is another championship or chasing history, McVay is back for the 2024 season and plans to have his own coaching show.
