It is poaching season in the NFL. The Los Angeles Rams are no different.
Following a 24-23 loss to the Detroit Lions, the Rams' defensive coordinator, Raheem Morris, is drawing interest from the Seattle Seahawks.
The Seahawks have requested a head coach interview for Morris from the Rams, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Monday.
Morris' name is getting a lot of traction around the NFL.
The Atlanta Falcons, who fired Arthur Smith, are expected to put their hat in the Morris sweepstakes.
Seattle would love to have Morris as a head coach. The franchise recently announced Pete Carroll would no longer serve as the team's head coach.
Morris hasn't been a successful head coach in years past. He was the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2009 to 2011.
Since then, he has rehabilitated his career. He was hired by the Rams in 2021 and helped craft a Super Bowl-winning defense.
The Seahawks previously hired Shane Waldron off of the McVay tree to be their offensive coordinator. Now it looks like they are going to try and hire another coach off of a branch of the McVay tree.
