The Los Angeles Rams have wrapped up their 2025 NFL Draft class, adding six drafted rookies and a slew of undrafted players to strengthen the depth of the roster.

While their draft class won't overhaul the roster completely, there are some notable changes to take note of for their 53-man roster heading into the 2025 season.

Los Angeles Rams 53-man roster prediction

QB (2): Matthew Stafford, Jimmy Garoppolo

Matthew Stafford is obviously a roster lock, and I fully expect Jimmy Garoppolo to remain as the backup as well, barring a sudden trade to a desperate team.

Stetson Bennett has shown next to nothing to support him remaining on the roster, and might stay on the practice squad solely because he was a former fourth-round pick. It wouldn't surprise me if the Rams opted to add competition to QB3 at some point in the offseason, if only to see if Bennett will respond.

RB (3): Kyren Williams, Blake Corum, Jarquez Hunter

The Rams tend to keep four running backs, but it's hard to see that happening after the addition of Jarquez Hunter, given his experience on special teams.

Kyren Williams and Blake Corum will be the two lead backs, with Hunter serving as the change-of-pace back to spell them both.

WR (6): Davante Adams, Puka Nacua, Tutu Atwell, Jordan Whittington, Konata Mumpfield, Xavier Smith

The top two wide receivers are set with Davante Adams and Puka Nacua, while Tutu Atwell is a lock to make the roster, given the bizarre contract extension he got to begin the offseason. Jordan Whittington and rookie Konata Mumpfield are talented enough to stick at the bottom of the roster. The last spot is up for grabs entirely, but I gave the nod to Smith, given his background as a returner last season.

TE (4): Tyler Higbee, Terrance Ferguson, Colby Parkinson, Davis Allen

Tyler Higbee and Terrance Ferguson are locks to make the roster, and I think Colby Parkinson will, given that he has $2.5M guaranteed for this season. However, the Rams might opt to just bite the bullet and take his nearly $10M cap hit off the books with a post-June 1st cut or trade if he continues to perform like he did last year in camp.

Davis Allen has flashed ability throughout his limited snaps and should take the last spot once more.

Offensive Line (9): Alaric Jackson, Steve Avila, Coleman Shelton, Kevin Dotson, Rob Havenstein, Beaux Limmer, Warren McClendon, Willie Lampkin, AJ Arcuri

The depth of this unit feels like a massive shrug. Neither McClendon nor Arcuri has earned the ability to stay on the roster, but who else will push them? Shelton and Limmer are locks at center, while I firmly believe Willie Lampkin is the most talented depth guard they have, despite his size, and has proven versatility at every spot on the interior.

Defensive Line (6): Kobie Turner, Braden Fiske, Poona Ford, Ty Hamilton, Tyler Davis, Desjuan Johnson

The Rams' defensive line has a strong case as the most talented unit on the roster after the addition of Ty Hamilton. Poona Ford and Tyler Davis will plug the nose tackle spot inside, while the defensive end spots rotate between Kobie Turner, Braden Fiske, Ty Hamilton, and Desjuan Johnson.

On paper, this looks like the Rams' most talented defensive line since 2015.

Outside Linebackers (5): Jared Verse, Byron Young, Josaiah Stewart, Brennan Jackson, Nick Hampton

Jared Verse is obviously the superstar of this group. It will be interesting to see how the Rams divvy up responsibilities and snaps between Byron Young and Josaiah Stewart, both of whom are better pass rushers than consistent run defenders. Former fifth-round picks Brennan Jackson and Nick Hampton round out the room, but neither has proven themselves yet. The Rams could churn the bottom of this room as the cut time approaches.

Inside Linebackers (5): Omar Speights, Chris "Pooh" Paul Jr., Nate Landman, Troy Reeder, Shaun Dolac

Omar Speights and Pooh Paul are the only two players I feel like saying are comfortable locks in this room. Landman and Reeder are replacement level and easily upgradable if the Rams opted to do so (and probably should). It's a tough call between Shaun Dolac and Elias Neal for that last spot, but Dolac fits the Rams' mold at linebacker and it's hard to overlook his athleticism and production here as a potential special teams ace.

Cornerback (6): Darious Williams, Cobie Durant, Ahkello Witherspoon, Josh Wallace, Emmanuel Forbes, Charles Woods

The Rams could add a player (or two) here as the offseason progresses, but for now, this is the room that makes the most sense. Williams, Durant, and Witherspoon are all interchangeable as the starters, while Wallace rotates mainly in on special teams and in the slot. Forbes started the Rams' Week 18 matchup last year, and Woods earned a role on special teams.

Safety (4): Kamren Kinchens, Kam Curl, Quentin Lake, Jaylen McCullough

Kinchens proved himself as a playmaker deep last season, while Curl, Lake, and McCullough played all over the field for the Rams. While the long-term future of those three is up in the air, it feels easy to lock them in for the roster for this season.

Specialists (3): Joshua Karty (K), Ethan Evans (P), Alex Ward (LS)

No needed changes here. Karty struggled some as a rookie, particularly midseason, but settled in to close the season, finishing 17-for-17 on field goals in the last eight games.

Evans has been consistently solid and Ward hasn't done anything to warrant them moving on from him.
