There have been stretches this season where the Miami Dolphins looked like one of the best teams in football.

The abilities of this team to play complimentary football between the pass, run, and defense has created some moments where Miami is downright scary.

Unfortunately for the Dolphins, this has generally only happened against the bad teams, but that narrative started to shift last night when they lost to the Titans (a bad team) in spectacular fashion.

For those who did not see the game, the Dolphins entered the fourth quarter with the Titans at 13-13, earned a 27-13 lead, and then ended up losing the game 28-27.

Simply unacceptable, especially against a Titans team that hasn't looked good for a while now.

The Dolphins collapsed after doing little to impress early in the game either way, but the end result is much harder to ignore. One has to ask, "is this a real playoff team?"

Miami has done well to beat the bad teams this season, but when good competition shows up (Bills, Eagles, Chiefs), the Dolphins have struggled. That is where some of the conversations started up with the word "fraudulent" popping up, and last night's loss won't help much.

This is supposed to be the part of the year where every win is a statement by a team that wants to be successful in the playoffs, especially with the playoff race starting to become tighter.

Instead, a loss just brings even more attention to the questions surrounding the Dolphins and fully enriches them.

At this point, Miami looks like it should be well-equipped in the first round of the playoffs against a lesser team, but even that isn't a guarantee after such a bad collapse last night.

The next four games have just become all the more important for the Dolphins if they want to prove that they are the real deal.
