The Miami Dolphins 2022 campaign is over. Following a five-game losing-streak and a final win in the regular season, they played yet another close game against the Buffalo Bills.

Going 1-2 against them on the season.

The drama of this game started in the first half. With a slow start from the Dolphins, Buffalo jumped out to a 17-0 lead.

Lead by rookie QB Skylar Thompson, the Dolphins closed the gap with a 17-17 tie before a last second field goal from Buffalo took the game to halftime.

A quick strip sack for a touchdown gave the Miami Dolphins their first and only lead of the game.

What followed was 14 unanswered points from Buffalo, to claim a two-score lead. A Jeff Wilson Jr. touchdown would make it 34-31 with about 11 minutes to go.

A series of defensive stands, lead to the Dolphins final drive on 4th down. An unsuccessful pass attempt gave Buffalo the Ball with just over 2 minutes to play.

Following the 2 minute warning, the Dolphins needed one more stop to force fourth down. A Devin Singleterry run and second effort sealed the game.

Even after the review, the officials didn't overturn what appeared to be a run about a half yard short of the line to gain. Giving the Bills the game-winning first down. 34-31.

The Miami Dolphins now go into the offseason after their first playoff campaign since 2016. A successful first season from first-year head coach Mike McDaniel.

Despite the ending being marred in controversy, the Dolphins finish just short.
