Dolphins: some help for a problem area could be available soon

The Miami Dolphins, like any other team in the NFL, have their strengths and weaknesses on the roster. However, there might still be an opportunity to obtain an experienced and productive player from the Indianapolis Colts.
And no, it's not who you're probably thinking of.
Without question, one of the Dolphins' weaker areas is the tight end room. With the departure of Mike Gesicki this offseason and no major upgrades brought in during the offseason, the position is one that is of understandable concern as the 2023 season approaches.
However, there could be an interesting name available either via cut or trade for the Dolphins to add to their tight end room: Mo Alie-Cox.
A to Z Sports Colts beat reporter Destin Adams sees Alie-Cox as a player who could be on his way out of Indianapolis soon.
"A long-time fan favorite TE who, after Jack Doyle retired, was given an extension by the Colts to be the top TE. He has some high moments but has not been consistent in the run or pass game. And with the new offensive staff in place, it's likely they go with the young guys in the room." – Destin Adams, A to Z Sports
Sometimes players need fresh starts in new locations. It doesn't mean they can't still play. And in Alie-Cox's case the ceiling might be higher than what Miami currently has on their roster.
He's earned PFF offensive grades from 2018-2021 of 73.3, 67.3, 78.2, and 66.4 before a major drop off in 2022 (48.2). He's also managed to provide the best ability of all – availability, having appeared in 15 or more games every year except for his rookie season in 2018 while starting a total of 27 games in that span.
Alie-Cox isn't going to make the Pro Bowl, but a good season from him can be higher than a good season from just about anyone on the roster behind Durham Smythe. At this point, having that potential and experience in the tight end room would be a win if he becomes available.
