After losing Jaelan Phillips, everyone expected the Miami Dolphins to make a move and bring in some additional help. On Monday, they have seem to have found their guy.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the Dolphins have signed Jason Pierre-Paul off the Saints practice squad. He will be signed to their 53-man roster.

Pierre-Paul signed with the Saints on Nov. 16, but his time in New Orleans was short lived. He also now joins a team that is expected to make a run in the playoffs.

On Sunday, in the Dolphins win over the New York Jets in the NFL's first Black Friday game, Phillips went down with a non-contact injury in the fourth quarter. He had to be carted off.

It was later reported that he had suffered a torn Achilles (at the MetLife Stadium not to mention) and will be sidelined for the rest of the season.

Phillips end the season with 43 total tackles, 6.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries. They are now without a key pass-rusher, but bringing in Pierre-Paul is a positive.

Pierre-Paul began his career with the New York Giants, being drafted in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He went on to win a Super Bowl with them in 2012. He then joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, getting to play with Tom Brady and win another Super Bowl there.

In 2022, he signed a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens.

Across his 14 years in the league, Pierre-Paul has a total of 632 tackles, 94 sacks, 21 forced fumbles, 10 fumble recoveries, five interceptions, and two touchdowns.

That is not a bad resume. And now he gets to add to that with the Dolphins.
