The Miami Dolphins made moves on Thursday, sending three players to the injured reserve list and adding three other players to the roster in their place.

OL Robert Jones, CB Jalen Ramsey, and RB Jeff Wilson, Jr. will miss the next four games at minimum and are eligible to return thereafter.  Obviously, in Ramsey's case, that will be much longer.

In response, the team brought back three players that they released on Tuesday in CB Justin Bethel, CB Parry Nickerson, and TE Tyler Kroft.  The Kroft signing makes the team's decision to go with just two tight ends on the initial roster seem a lot less strange than it did at the time.  Bethel and Nickerson also add reasonable depth to a cornerback room that has been struggling with injuries.

The Wilson move is an interesting one, as his health status didn't seem to have been one that would have warranted a trip to injured reserve, but he also did not participate in any preseason games.  The move also explains another curious roster move the team made Tuesday by carrying five running backs.  Chris Brooks undoubtedly deserved a spot, but the team will now be down to four after moving Wilson to IR.  That number seems right.

Now, the team is starting to look more like the one that will trot out of SoFi Stadium for the season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers in just over a week.
