The weather was not ideal on Saturday night as the Kansas City Chiefs hosted the Miami Dolphins in the first week of NFL playoffs.
And for the Dolphins, who are used to the warm weather, it may have affected their play, with Miami ultimately losing. However, when asked how that played a factor, Dolphins star receiver Tyreek Hill wasn't willing to put any of the blame on that.
"It wasn't a factor at all," Hill said after the loss. "Guys weren't even paying attention to it. It was just one of those things that when you're in Miami experiencing great weather all the time, it's like and we're in cold weather, we're all just out here having fun. I don't think the weather played a part in anything today."
While the temperature was -4 degrees Fahrenheit, the wind gusts made it feel so much lower.
And when the tarp was taken off the field, there was patches of ice covering the grass at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
However, none of that bothered Hill, who took the field for warmups in a t-shirt. And when the game began, he just had his jersey on, not bothering to wear a long sleeve shirt underneath.
However, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had a bit of different answer when asked about the cold.
“Yeah, it was a little difficult in the beginning," he said. "We sort of figured out a plan with how we went about that later on in the game. It was different.”
Tagovailoa is originally from Hawaii, and then went to school in Alabama. After college, he was drafted by the Dolphins. So it's safe to say he's not used to the cold weather.
