Dolphins sit among six winless NFL teams through Week 3 and the upcoming schedule will quickly reveal which side of the bottom-tier fence they sit
Miami’s winless through three weeks. They’re not alone. But the schedule is going start pitting these teams against each other shortly.
And then there were six. The Miami Dolphins are among the half-dozen NFL franchises that remain without a win through the first three weeks of the 2025 regular season — dropping them into the bottom of the barrel of the NFL’s standings. Miami will face another one of those winless franchises in Week 4 when the New York Jets come to town on Monday Night Football.
The current bottom of the NFL standings offers several footnotes for a struggling team in Miami and their schedule. We’re a few weeks away from still full-court pressing a total focus into the NFL Draft and the order via wins and losses — but this time next month is going to offer some healthy perspective on where the NFL’s pecking order has settled for the 2025 season.
Yet it’s absolutely worth noting where Miami’s schedule stands at 0-3 relative to their winless peers.
Dolphins’ upcoming schedule features several colleagues that join them as winless through three weeks

The current list of winless teams in the NFL through three weeks includes the New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, Tennessee Titans, New York Giants, Houston Texans, and the Miami Dolphins. Miami will play the Jets twice — the first of those matchups comes next Monday. They play the New Orleans Saints in Week 13 as well. One win teams like Cleveland and Carolina loom in the next month as well.
We don’t know where Miami ranks on the spectrum of NFL franchises in the grand scale just yet. But we’re going to find out pretty quickly. Three of the aforementioned teams are the next four on the schedule.
If Miami hops on the plane after their Week 7 contest against the Cleveland Browns and is still winless, they’ll have firmly entrenched themselves into the top (bottom?) of the NFL Draft race for 2026. No one in that locker room or front office is eager to see such a development, as that would squarely put jobs in the crosshairs. But with two losses to two undefeated programs via Buffalo and Indianapolis, the actual resolution of where Miami stands is still quite fuzzy.
It won’t be that way for long.
The rest of the league is in the same boat. The Jets have their two matchups with Miami before they play any other currently winless team (the Saints are the only other one on their schedule). Houston and Tennessee play in Week 4, offering two separate sets of 0-3 teams playing each other this weekend. This field is going to start to whittle. The question for Miami is what side of the currently 0-3 fence they’re going to fall on.

The 0-3 Dolphins would be wise to start looking in some different places for snaps as they balance performance in the now & their long-term development.
