How will the Dolphins handle Josh Allen?
The last time Miami went to western New York, they sacked Allen seven times. However, Allen still managed to make huge plays, especially in the passing game, as he threw for 352 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Bills rallied for a 34-31 win.
The Dolphins won't be nearly as aggressive with blitzing under Vic Fangio and will deploy more zone coverage looks. Allen shouldn't have the same number of one-on-one shots deep against Miami that he had last time out, when the Dolphins were more aggressive with single-high safety coverage in Josh Boyer's old system. However, it will be imperative that Miami defenders tackle in space.
3 Players to Watch
Jaylen Waddle. The Bills will assuredly give extra attention to the red-hot Tyreek Hill. Waddle returns this week from a concussion he suffered against New England and should have opportunities down the field, especially with safety Jordan Poyer out with a knee injury.
Andrew Van Ginkel. He was a force against New England while filling in for Jalean Phillips. He'll get the chance again with Phillips ruled out with an oblique injury. The ability of him and Bradley Chubb to generate pressure will be huge, just as they did together two weeks ago.
Jevon Holland. Perhaps no safety is playing better in the NFL right now, and Miami will need that against one of the toughest quarterbacks to handle in Allen. Holland's coverage and run support skills will be on display against a QB who can drop dimes over and run over opposing safeties. Holland needs to shine on Sunday for Miami.
