NFL oddsmaker sees a similar result in the AFC East next year between the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills

It seems that at least one major oddsmaker sees the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills repeating their tight 2023 feud for the AFC East in 2024.
DraftKings Sportsbook has released its over/under regular season win totals for all teams in 2024, and the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills were extremely close. DraftKings has the Dolphins and Bills at both 10.5 wins.
However, DraftKings has the odds slightly better for getting over that 10.5-win total for the Bills. They're paying out at -145 for the Bills to eclipse 10.5 wins, which is less than even money. In other words, they believe it slightly more likely than not that the Bills do by those odds. Under 10.5 pays out at +120.
Conversely, DraftKings pays out at +125 if the Dolphins surpass 10.5 wins in 2024. It pays out a lesser -145 for those who hit on under 10.5 wins. The next closest team is the New York Jets, who is listed at 9.5 wins at +125 over and -150 under.
In other words, they see a very narrow margin again between the Fins and Bills. That's still a good bit of respect for the Dolphins. Only two other teams in the AFC were listed with more wins – the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs with 11.5 wins each.
But then again, the Dolphins certainly earned that respect last year, given they were a 5-minute meltdown against the Tennessee Titans or a win over the Bills away from claiming the AFC East and the #2 overall seed in the AFC. Instead, the Bills defeated the Dolphins 21-14 in Week at Hard Rock Stadium to rip the AFC East away from Miami in the regular season's final game.
There are still a lot of reasons to buy into Miami in 2024. Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Raheem Mostert, and DeVon Achane are still the most electric skill position players in the entire league on any one team. Mike McDaniel is still going to be calling the plays, as he stated on Monday at the NFL owners meeting. Chris Grier did a nice job of addressing some major roster holes in free agency.
For those Miami fans who choose to put their money behind their faith that the Dolphins will take another step forward in year three of the Mike McDaniel era…hey, at least the payout would be nice.
