The Miami Dolphins' shaky secondary just got even shakier on Monday afternoon.

According to multiple outlets, Dolphins safety Brandon Jones and the Denver Broncos agreed to terms on a three-year contract.

Per Bleacher Report's Jordan Schultz, the deal is for three years at $20 million.

Jones posted messages on Instagram and Twitter/X on Monday, confirming that he's indeed signing with the Broncos.

That's a lot of coin for a player that didn't saw his defensive snap count decrease in 2023 from 2021 and what he was on pace for in 2022.  Jones suffered a torn ACL against the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2022 and served mostly as a rotational player in 2023, appearing in 16 games while starting 6.

Jevon Holland's unfortunate knee injury (both knees) against the Jets on Black Friday put him on the shelf for about a month and opened a door for Jones to get back on the field in a larger role.  Jones started the next four games after Holland's injury alongside DeShon Elliott.  He posted a very solid 75.2 Pro Football Focus grade with a 76.2 mark in coverage across 542 defensive snaps in 2023.

The Dolphins drafted Jones in the third round of the 2020 draft with the 70th overall pick.  In his four seasons, he appeared in 54 games with 30 starts, totaling 238 combined tackles with 8 sacks, 3 interceptions, 4 forced fumbles, 3 fumble recoveries, and 7 passes defended.

The Dolphins have just Holland and Elijah Campbell on the roster at safety.  As such, the position should be one to watch as the Dolphins enter free agency and gear up for the draft.
