The Miami Dolphins have had an injury list that's seemingly as long as just about any in the NFL this season.  Soon, it's going to be easier to list the players that DON'T have an injury rather than the ones who do.

Unfortunately, you can add one more star player to the injured side of the ledger, and it's a big one – in name, size, and importance.

DT Christian Wilkins popped up on the injury report on Friday with a groin injury.

Wilkins has managed to avoid the injury bug throughout the first 13 weeks of the season.  That and the fact he wasn't on the injury report on Thursday would lead to the conclusion that he suffered the injury in practice on Friday.

The injury is one of relative concern given the opponent. The Tennessee Titans will look to drive Derrick Henry down the Dolphins' throats on Monday night. Not having a player of Wilkins' caliber in the middle would be a tough blow for Miami's defense.

Wilkins has been a reliable face on the Dolphins' defense since the team took him with the 13th overall selection of the 2019 NFL Draft.  Wilkins played in all 17 regular season games the last two years, 14 games in 2020, and all 16 games in 2019.  He's been as dependable as it gets for Miami's defenders, both for availability and production on the field.

Now, Dolphins fans will have to keep an eye out for the final injury report on Saturday to see if Wilkins is limited in any way still or otherwise has an injury designation for Monday's game against the Titans.
