The Miami Dolphins will see some key players on the practice field on Monday as the team prepares for its season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.

Head coach Mike McDaniel met with the local media on Monday and provided an update on how Brandon Jones, Jaylen Waddle, De'Von Achane, and Terron Armstead are looking as the week of preparation gets underway with a Monday practice.

"Expecting to see Brandon and De'Von today, as well as Waddle" McDaniel said.  "He got in some reps that last practice. Don't expect to see Armstead today, but he's progressing well."

Armstead appears to be the biggest and most important mystery of the players who were not shifted to injured reserve after the initial 53-man roster was released.  Armstead suffered a knee injury during joint practice in Houston last month.  He played in 13 games last season despite dealing with a number of injuries.

Waddle suffered an adbominal injury during practice the week prior but appears to be progressing to playing in Week 1.  Jones, Miami's starting safety last season, tore his ACL in Week 7 against the Steelers and has not seen any preseason action as he works to get ready for the regular season.  Achane suffered a shoulder injury in the game against Houston.

The availability of all players will be better known when the team puts out its initial injury report after practice on Wednesday.
