The Miami Dolphins just dominated a division opponent and are officially looking at the final stretch of their 2023 season.
With six games left, a lot can change for a Miami team that still has a lot to win or lose.
The tough part of the final stretch for Miami is that they will face off against three of the worst teams in the league followed by three of the best. Home field advantage during parts of the playoffs will be predicated on the Dolphins' ability to avoid getting complacent during the first half of the stretch.
The next three games for the Dolphins are the Commanders (tanking in many ways), the Titans (no offense to speak of), and the Jets (no quarterback, no prospects).
Together, these three teams are 11-22. These are the types of teams that the Dolphins have dominated with ease this year.
All three of these games should be wins for the Dolphins and shouldn't have too much adversity, and that isn't a bad thing when a team needs a morale boost before a tough stretch-and a tough stretch is absolutely following those first three games.
The schedule then balances out with the Cowboys, Ravens, and Bills. Dallas and Baltimore are two teams that should start to gain some steam in the Super Bowl odds race, and the Bills are a division opponent that you can never rule out.
There may not be a harder stretch of the season for the Dolphins, and it comes right before the playoffs are set to begin.
In truth, the Dolphins need to do the following over the next six games; stay healthy, win four, and get some moments ready for the highest level of completion in the playoffs.
The one thing that can't happen is complacency building amongst the players. It would be easy to get carried away beating the bad teams during the first three games. That absolutely can't happen, and it would be disastrous if it hits at a time where the Dolphins need to keep the intensity as high as possible.
You play with the schedule you are dealt. It might've been better for the Dolphins if the easy games came after the tough ones, but this isn't the worst spot to be for a team that should have Super Bowl aspirations.

Good teams always have to find ways to get better.
