Tyreek Hill sure had some fun during Sunday's Miami Dolphins win over the New York Jets.
The receiver went viral after Hill grabbed Kevin Fitzgibbons, one of the NFL's social media members', phone during his touchdown celebration and then proceeded to do a backflip.
The 20-year-old content creator smiled as Hill used his phone for the celebration. He was then seen jumping up and down on the sidelines in excitement, and because of that, he has been punished.
Fitzgibbons posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, explaining that he got his credentials suspended for what happened.
And because of this move, Hill has decided to do something for Fitzgibbons.
According to the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson, Hill told reporters that he will be paying Fitzgibbons salary after he was suspended by the league.
Fitzgibbons and Hill were familiar with one another, as Fitzgibbons had shot some videos of him in the past. A student at the University of Miami, the young content creator immediately reached out to Hill once he was traded to the Dolphins. And in 2022, he was hired by the NFL to help create content at all Miami Dolphins home games.
Fitzgibbons described Hill's backflip celebration as "the coolest moment ever."
The Dolphins were penalized for this as well, and Hill was asked about it after the game.
"I see the camera and I just took it from him," Hill said. "He didn't want me to take it from him."
However, despite what Hill said, the NFL then told Fitzgibbons that he was suspended for the remainder of the 2023 season and possibly "for good," even though he didn't seem to know what was going to happen.
"One of the best moments of my life turned upside down in a matter of seconds," he said in his video. "I get why the NFL had to make this decision and wish I could have done something to prevent it, but I'm thankful for the memory that Tyreek gave me."
Hill responded to Fitzgibbons' video, saying, "I would comment but I could get fined.”
But now, he is doing what he can to support his friend.
