It looks like Miami Dolphins fans who are hoping not to see their team travel overseas in 2024 will get their wish.

On Monday, the NFL released the teams that will be considered home teams for all 2024 international games.  The Dolphins weren't on the list.

In addition, none of the teams who have been listed as host teams are on the Dolphins' 2024 list of away opponents.  As such, by process of elimination, that means the Dolphins won't be involved in any of the games as either a host or a visitor.

The NFL is introducing Brazil as a new NFL market in 2024, with a game set to be played in the city of Sao Paulo on Friday, September 6.  As the Dolphins were assigned Brazil as an international home marketing area in 2021 pursuant to the NFL's international marketing plan, it seemed likely the Dolphins would end up as the team to go to Brazil.

However, the Dolphins only have 8 home games and 9 road games in 2024, so perhaps the Dolphins having only 7 home games was part of the thinking in passing on them.

Regardless, the Dolphins will play a game in Brazil sooner or later.  They just won't be the first to do so.
