Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is a football guy.

It's not just his job — it's in Tomlin's blood.

I'm sure that's something that's said about a lot of coaches, but one of Tomlin's hobbies away from the Steelers proves that Pittsburgh's head coach is on another level.

Tomlin recently joined Ben Roethlisberger's "Footbahlin" podcast and he revealed that in his free time, he watches a football league called "A7".

This league features guys playing football with no pads and no helmets that hit each other like they're playing in the NFL in the 1980s.

Here's the clip of Tomlin talking about the league followed by some highlights of some A7 action.

That looks absolutely insane. I'm not sure how any of those guys ever play a second game after watching some of them get completely blown up.

I'm not surprised that Tomlin spends his free time watching an underground football league. After all, this is the coach that goes to every Pro Day possible (he's at Clemson's Pro Day on Tuesday) and spends as much time as possible talking football and evaluating players. Of course he spends his free time watching a completely psychotic version of football (no offense to the dudes who play in an A7 league — those guys are as tough as it gets).

Tomlin noted during the podcast that you can buy an A7 franchise. I wouldn't be surprised to see Tomlin purchase one in the near future.
