The Minnesota Vikings suffered an ugly loss on Monday Night Football against the Chicago Bears.

The Bears secured a 12-10 victory as four field goals from Cairo Santos were enough to win the game. The Vikings' offense was abysmal, and a stellar defensive performance was wasted.

Let's dive into the takeaways from this game.

The Viking defense did it's job

Any time your defense holds an offense to 12 points, you expect to win that game. Only problem was, the Viking offense was even worse than the Bears'.

Justin Fields had just 217 passing yards and the QB also led the team in rushing with just 59 yards,

The defense forced two turnovers and held the Bears out of the end zone. Ivan Pace Jr., Danielle Hunter, and Josh Metellus each got a sack. Ultimately, the defense can't shoulder any of the blame for this loss. Even without Akayleb Evans, this unit played good enough to win.

Turnovers killed the Vikings again

The Vikings turned the ball over four times on MNF. Joshua Dobbs threw four interceptions in his worst performance of the season.

The team could have had six interceptions- KJ Osborn and Alexander Mattison both fumbled but were able to recover.

This is the same problem that has been plaguing the Vikings all season. It's hard to win games when you can't stop turning the ball over, especially when you are missing your star QB and star WR.

It may be time for Jaren Hall to start

The Joshua Dobbs Experiment has been super fun. However, it's hard not to come to the conclusion that Dobbs lost the game for the Vikes on Monday.

Hall looked good before being knocked out with a concussion. Would it be worth inserting the rookie back in to see what he can do? It's a tough proposition. The Vikings are in the midst of the playoff race and Dobbs has been servicable in all prior games.

Luckily, the team is heading into a bye week, so if a change is going to be made, this is the time to do it.
