The Minnesota Vikings dropped their second consecutive game on Monday night, falling to the Chicago Bears 12-10.

To lose like that, especially at home, has to be a major disappointment for the Vikes. Once again, the running game was ineffective and turnovers doomed the team's chances.

Let's try to identify the best and worst individual performances from this game.

Winner: Jaren Hall

Hall was inactive for MNF but still came out a winner. The rookie QB looked impressive before being concussed, but it seemed like Hall would be stuck on the bench after the impressive breakout of Joshua Dobbs.

However, Dobbs fell back down to earth against the Bears, and Kevin O'Connell could be keeping his options open. Dobbs threw four interceptions and only managed 10 points. While it seemed like Hall would have to wait until next season to see the field again, that no longer appears to be the case.

Loser: Joshua Dobbs

It was obvious that Dobbs was going to come back to earth at some point. However, the way in which it happened was still surprising. Dobbs managed just 185 passing yards and was picked off four times.

The fact that this performance came against a bad Bears' secondary is concerning. Dobbs could now be on thin ice in Minnesota as the Vikings have lost two consecutive games.

Winner: Danielle Hunter

Danielle Hunter continues his impressive tear in 2023. The veteran is now tied for the lead in sacks with 13.5.

Against the Bears, Hunter collected 9 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 2 tackles for loss, and 3 QB hits. The veteran is having an All Pro-caliber year and single-handedly keeps the Vikings in games. It's a shame that Hunter's incredible season hasn't led to more wins.

Loser: Alexander Mattison

Once again, Mattison was ineffective. The back had 52 yards on 10 carries, but 21 of those yards came on one carry. Mattison also fumbled again, but he did recover it.

The Vikings just cannot get any sort of consistency on the ground. Mattison's turnover problems and poor run blocking are killing the offense. Yes, Joshua Dobbs had a bad game, but the run game was non-existent to help out the struggling QB.

Winner: TJ Hockenson

Hockenson is clearly Joshua Dobbs’ favorite target. The tight end caught another five passes last night for 50 yards and a touchdown. Without Justin Jefferson, Hockenson has become the go-to target in Minnesota.

Hockenson wanted a massive contract extension, and he got it before the season. That deal is starting to look better and better. Hockenson has certainly held up his end of the bargain thus far. Now, the team just needs someone other than Hockenson or Jefferson to make plays.

Loser: KJ Osborn

Osborn had an amazing opportunity to show he can be relied upon. Instead, the receiver has failed to do much of anything in that time. Osborn had just 3 catches for 34 yards on the night.

Instead of Osborn stepping up, Dobbs has instead relied upon Hockenson and even Brandon Powell. Perhaps Osborn will improve when Jefferson returns and he's no longer a focal point. Still, it's easy to be disappointed in the receiver.

Winner: Mekhi Blackmon

Blackmon got another start in place of the injured Akayleb Evans. For the second consecutive week, Blackmon held his own.

The rookie earned a PFF grade of 76.6, which was the third-highest grade on the team. Blackmon collected 6 tackles and 1 tackle for loss against the Bears. When Evans comes back, this secondary should be even scarier. It certainly appears that the Vikings have two solid young corners.
