The Minnesota Vikings lost cornerback Khyree Jackson to a tragic car accident in July of 2024, three months after he was selected 108th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. On Friday morning, Good Morning America, on behalf of the NFL, awarded Jackson’s parents and younger brother tickets to Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium for their work with the Khyree Jackson Foundation that they started in his honor.

“We want to surprise you. We’re going to take it one step further from the Vikings. We’re catching the past, if you will. And this time, it’s on behalf of the NFL. They are just they are they love what you’re doing. They see you, and they really want to celebrate Kyrie by having you guys at the Super Bowl. You guys are going to the Super Bowl!”

Jackson’s family has been very active since the passing of Khyree. They have been active with the Vikings organization, including attending multiple games at U.S. Bank Stadium. They started the Khyree Jackson Foundation, which is why his parents, Raymond and Ebbony, along with his younger brother Kolston, were on the show.

“I think we see the foundation is like love in action, because Kyrie had such a huge heart,” said Ebbony. “He had this quiet, giving heart. So the goal of the foundation is to continue who Kyrie was and what he wanted to do in the community.

“When Kyrie got drafted, the first thing he said was, I want to start a foundation, and what the name of it and what should the name of it be? So when we got the award from the [Minnesota] Vikings, it was just such a happy moment for us, because now we have this grant, and we’re able to give away more scholarships, like start awareness about the driver safety campaign, help kids with school supplies, and football equipment. So we’re just doing what Kyrie wanted.”

There aren’t many people who deserve an act of kindness bestowed upon them like the Jackson family, and now they get to go to the Super Bowl.
