Minnesota Vikings Final Injury Report: A decimated offensive line gets worse, leaving Carson Wentz in an impossible spot
This is going to be a difficult game for the Vikings.
The final injury report for the Minnesota Vikings is a brutal one. The Vikings are set to have six players out and three others questionable. Luckily for the Vikings, they have a bye next week to get healthy, but the Cleveland Browns present a difficult challenge where the Vikings struggle.
Minnesota Vikings Final injury report
| Player | Injury | W/T/F | Designation |
| EDGE Tyler Batty | Knee | Full/Full/Full | Questionable |
| FB C.J. Ham | Knee | Full/Full/Full | Questionable |
| RB Zavier Scott | Knee | DNP/Full/Full | None |
| LT Christian Darrisaw | Not Injury Related-Rest | DNP/DNP/Full | None |
| TE Ben Yurosek | Knee | DNP/DNP/Limited | Questionable |
| EDGE Andrew Van Ginkel | Neck | DNP/DNP/DNP | Out |
| QB J.J. McCarthy | Ankle | DNP/DNP/DNP | Out |
| OG Donovan Jackson | Wrist | DNP/DNP/DNP | Out |
| C Michael Jurgens | Knee | DNP/DNP/DNP | Out |
| C Ryan Kelly | Concussion | DNP/DNP/DNP | Out |
| RT Brian O’Neill | Knee | DNP/DNP/DNP | Out |
| EDGE Dallas Turner | Illness | None/DNP/Full | None |
Observations
- Darrisaw got back-to-back rest days before practicing in full on Friday.
- Jurgens being out is brutal for the Vikings. They will be forced to start Blake Brandel at center, who has never played the position before.
- The Vikings don’t need to activate Ham or Batty until their 21-day practice windows expire, but the former returning this week makes a lot of sense with the offensive line crisis.
- McCarthy has yet to practice since his ankle injury, and it’s certainly getting frustrating.
- Turner appears to be good to go after missing one practice with an illness.
Cleveland Browns Final injury report
| Player | Injury | W/T/F | Designation |
| EDGE Myles Garrett | Ankle | DNP/Limited/Limited | None |
| OT Joel Bitonio | Not Injury Related-Rest | Limited/Full/Full | None |
| DT Maliek Collins | Not Injury Related-Rest | Limited/Full/Full | None |
| OT Jack Conklin | Elbow | Limited/Limited/Full | Questionable |
| S Grant Delpit | Back | Limited/Full/Full | None |
| DT Mike Hall | Knee | Limited/DNP/DNP | Out |
| OT Cornelius Lucus | Not Injury Related-Rest | Limited/Full/Full | None |
| TE David Njoku | Knee | Limited/Full/Full | None |
| CB Greg Newsome II | Hamstring | None/Limited/Limited | Questionable |
Observations
- Garrett’s absence could have been a big deal, but he will play on Sunday. That is big for the Browns, as his presence alone could turn the tide.
- The Browns won’t have Hall, but Collins will enter the weekend without a designation.
- Newsome being added to the injury report on Thursday is a tough one for the Browns. If he’s out, that could be huge for the Vikings attacking the Browns in the passing game.
