The final injury report for the Minnesota Vikings is a brutal one. The Vikings are set to have six players out and three others questionable. Luckily for the Vikings, they have a bye next week to get healthy, but the Cleveland Browns present a difficult challenge where the Vikings struggle.

Observations

  • Darrisaw got back-to-back rest days before practicing in full on Friday.
  • Jurgens being out is brutal for the Vikings. They will be forced to start Blake Brandel at center, who has never played the position before.
  • The Vikings don’t need to activate Ham or Batty until their 21-day practice windows expire, but the former returning this week makes a lot of sense with the offensive line crisis.
  • McCarthy has yet to practice since his ankle injury, and it’s certainly getting frustrating.
  • Turner appears to be good to go after missing one practice with an illness.

Observations

  • Garrett’s absence could have been a big deal, but he will play on Sunday. That is big for the Browns, as his presence alone could turn the tide.
  • The Browns won’t have Hall, but Collins will enter the weekend without a designation.
  • Newsome being added to the injury report on Thursday is a tough one for the Browns. If he’s out, that could be huge for the Vikings attacking the Browns in the passing game.
