The Minnesota Vikings are set to go at it with the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday afternoon, and both teams need a win to keep their playoff hopes strong, with neither team above 0.500.

For the home team, the Vikings are riding a high after defeating the Detroit Lions on Sunday, 27-24. It started and ended with quarterback J.J. McCarthy, who, despite having an up-and-down day, finished the game with a perfect throw to Jalen Nailor to seal the victory.

The Ravens are finally as healthy as they can be, especially after having zero players on the injury report on both Wednesday and Thursday. That’s huge for Lamar Jackson, as he looks to get the franchise back on track after missing time with a hamstring injury.

Friday’s injury report is out, and there are a lot of questions that have been answered.

Observations

  • Darrisaw going in with no designation is huge for the Vikings. His presence makes all the difference.
  • After appearing on the injury report after not having been on before, seeing both Fries and Redmond come off is a big win for the Vikings.
  • No Andrew Van Ginkel on the injury report is massive, as he’s been a huge factor in the Vikings’ success on defense.
  • Jones is dealing with an AC joint sprain, and he will be questionable. Expect this to be a game-time decision for the Vikings.
  • Oliver is still unable to go, but having Ham return could continue to boost the running game.
