The Minnesota Vikings are now in Dublin, Ireland, and are fully prepared to face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday morning. A win will give the Vikings another win internationally and make them the first-ever team with five wins internationally.

Ahead of Sunday’s game, the Vikings have released their final injury report, and it has multiple players set to return to action.

Observations

  • The big returns of multiple starters are huge. Kelly is going to provide stability for the Vikings on the offensive side of the football, especially with Carson Wentz starting, as he’s only been with the team for a month.
  • McCarthy not practicing makes sense. He was already ruled out by the team earlier this week.
  • Head coach Kevin O’Connell mentioned Van Ginkel’s injury is more precautionary during Wednesday’s press conference, but him missing the game on Sunday continues that precaution. “He came out of the game feeling pretty good, and then just has had some residual issues more tied to probably the neck. I would say he’s out of the protocol. And cleared that through the medical process last week, and now we’re just, you know, working through what his week’s going to look like leading into Sunday.” Without Van Ginkel, Dallas Turner will start once again and be able to prove that he’s the guy.

Observations

  • The Steelers took all the players who were given rest days and had them practice.
  • Highsmith didn’t travel with the team and won’t play. That means Nick Herbig will start opposite of T.J. Watt.
  • Porter playing will be huge for the Steelers when it comes to trying to stop Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. His questionable distinction and participation in practice all week, even though it was limited, gives hope that he will play on Sunday.
