The first game for the Vikings also saw quarterback J.J. McCarthy get the start, and he played pretty well, going 4-7 for 30 yards and leading the offense to a field goal. With the second preseason game, McCarthy isn’t likely to play, and it’s for one specific reason.

New England Patriots vs. Minnesota Vikings: How to watch and listen

For the second consecutive Saturday afternoon, the Vikings will be hosting a preseason game. Things won’t start on Saturday, as the Patriots will be coming into town earlier in the week for two joint practices on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon.

Those joint practices are going to be the biggest factor of the Vikings making their roster decisions will come from those joint practices. There will be a lot of interesting storylines to look at on both sides of the ball, as the Vikings defense looks to stop Drake Maye, Justin Jefferson takes on Christian Gonzales, and more, including the return of Garrett Bradbury.

It should be an easy game to watch for everyone, as it’s a 12 PM Central Time kickoff. The game will air locally on Fox-9 KMSP. If you aren’t in the New England or Minnesota markets, you can stream live on NFL Plus.

The radio broadcast will be on KFAN 100.3 FM with Paul Allen and Pete Bercich on the call, and they will be simulcast on the TV broadcast as well, like they are for all preseason games. If you want a spanish version of the radio broadcast, Tico Spots will have that on 94.9 FM and 630 AM in the Twin Cities.
