The Minnesota Vikings need a win in the worst way and so do the Los Angeles Chargers, which is why the latter's decision to make their $82 million cornerback, J.C. Jackson, a healthy scratch ahead of this important matchup.

So, now, it looks like Justin Jefferson -who is arguably the NFL's best receiver- will take on the likes of Michael Davis, Asante Samuel Jr. (when he's in the slot), and Deane Leonard.

That's certainly a stable of names in which Jefferson can have some nice success against. And so far, it hasn't mattered who's lined up across from him, at all. Which makes the Chargers' decision even more puzzling.

The Chargers defense will also be without starting linebacker Eric Kendricks. If there were ever a day for Minnesota to win – today would be that day.
