This hasn't exactly been a fun season for the Minnesota Vikings. The highs and lows have fluctuated on a near-weekly basis, and the team going from out of the playoffs, to back in the race with some momentum, to eliminated on the final day of the season is about as painful as it gets.

A team like this won't find any silver linings in getting close to making it into the playoffs without their most important player, but there may be some bright spots for individual players.

Justin Jefferson is one such player for Minnesota. His greatness has only been further solidified (if it wasn't already) by way of yet another 1,000-yard season while playing just ten games.

The 1,000-yard mark has always been one of the biggest litmus tests for a wide receiver. 59 yards per game is sometimes easier said than done for some players, but that is far from the case for Jefferson.

Jefferson has started his career on fire and this is his first time in the NFL where finishing above that previously-mentioned mark was even a question. It just took missing seven games for there to even be questions.

However, Jefferson was able to slam the door shut on that contingency with a dominant 12 reception, 192-yard, one touchdown performance in the final game of the season.

This greatness was good enough to put Jefferson at 1,074 yards on the year-comfortably over the base expected level for a player of his caliber.

Some people may not truly grasp it on its face value, but this has been the best year of Jefferson's career when you look at the whole picture. If healthy, Jefferson would've accounted for 1,829 receiving yards (a career high) at his current rate.

If that alone doesn't impressive you, look at the quarterbacks that Vikings had to play with this season.

While there was a lot to be upset with in the Vikings and how this year went, Justin Jefferson still having a claim as the best wide receiver in football keeps the optimism high for this team, assuming they can find a way to keep him happy.
