The Minnesota Vikings secured their first NFC North win of the season on Sunday.

The Vikes were able to escape Chicago with a 19-13 win over the rival Chicago Bears. With the win, the Vikes improved to 2-4 on the season.

After the game, Cousins revealed that an old rock song got the team pumped up for the matchup.

The song Cousins was referring to was Creed's "Higher," which was a rock hit in 1999.

"Garrett Bradbury, in the locker room pregame, took a clip from the Texas Rangers and made sure that Creed got played before we went out on the field and I felt like that may have made the difference, so we got that going for us," Cousins told reporters, per Bring Me the Sports.

Cousins was referring to the Texas Rangers, who are in the middle of an impressive postseason run. The team has used Creed's music as a rallying cry and Cousins and the Vikings appear to like that idea.

I mean, hey, if it worked for the Rangers, why can't it work for the Vikes? If the Vikings end up going on a playoff run, we know who to credit for it.

The Vikings will have an extra day of rest as the team will next play the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football.
