Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell announced during his Wednesday press conference that they have activated tight end Nick Muse's 21-day practice window in his recovery from a broken hand.
The Vikings saw Muse get hurt in week two against the San Francisco 49ers where he broke his hand earlier in the game but still recovered the onside kick with ease to seal the win over the defending Super Bowl participants.
Muse hasn't gotten a lot of run with the Vikings since being a seventh-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, but he's been a mainstay on both the roster and the practice squad. Despite being active on gameday during T.J. Hockenson's injury, Muse only saw two snaps during week one on offense and none in week two. He did see 19 snaps on special teams during the first two weeks where Muse is a relied-upon player.
The question remains if Muse will remain on the active roster upon his activation. That will play out in time, as the Vikings now have 21 days to make a decision.
