The Minnesota Vikings have not had the best injury luck lately.
Hanging on for dear life with a 1-4 record, the team placed star receiver Justin Jefferson on IR this week. Backup QB Nick Mullens was also placed on IR, and rookie receiver Jordan Addison is also banged up.
On Thursday, the rookie Addison was still listed as a limited participant in practice.
Jordan Addison and Akayleb Evans both remained limited in practice on Thursday.
Marcus Davenport was upgraded to a full participant on Thursday. Lewis Cine and Kene Nwangwu remained full participants for two days in a row, so the two players could be off of the Friday report.
Obviously, Addison and Evans are the big stories here. Already without Justin Jefferson, the Vikes cannot afford to be without the stud rookie as well.
Evans has been the most consistent corner for the Vikes this season. Losing Evans would likely thrust rookie Mekhi Blackmon into a larger role.
Davenport getting healthier is definitely a positive. The edge rusher has played in two full games this season and has a sack in each.
The Vikings added receivers Trishton Jackson and N'Keal Harry to the roster this week, likely as insurance for Addison.
