Jalen Reagor will likely fall victim to the numbers game in Minnesota.

The former first-round pick hasn't been bad this summer, though. Reagor shined in camp earlier this summer and was the leading receiver for the team against Seattle.

However, Reagor laid an egg against the Titans in the second preseason game and doesn't offer as much versatility as some of the other receivers. When you start to do the math, there is seemingly no way that Reagor makes this team.

The Minnesota Vikings have often kept just five receivers on the 53-man roster, but let's assume six are kept this time.

Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, KJ Osborn, and Jalen Nailor are locks. That leaves, at most, two spots left. Competing for those spots will be Reagor, N'Keal Harry, Brandon Powell, Trishton Jackson, and Blake Proehl, among others.

Powell seems safe at this point thanks to his ability on special teams. Kene Nwangwu is an elite kick returner but Powell should handle punt returns.

Jackson, meanwhile, has been one of the stars of camp and has earned his place. I also think Jackson would have the best shot at being claimed by another team if he was cut.

With Powell and Jackson, that makes six receivers and leaves Reagor out. It's also worth noting that Harry is also a former first-rounder with potential and Proehl has been a camp star.

So, has Reagor been bad this summer? No. He is just unfortunately in a tough spot and has not flashed as often as the other players. Reagor also failed to show the team anything last season, playing in all 17 games but only catching eight passes.

I wouldn't be surprised if Reagor is added to the practice squad as insurance, but it's not impossible that another team would take a flier on him.
