On Monday, the NFL announced that the Minnesota Vikings will be featured as one of the six teams in a Saturday Tripleheader.
The Vikings’ Week 15 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts is now set for 1:00pm ET on Saturday, December 17. The game will air on NFL Network as the kick off to the triple-header.
Following the Vikings and Colts will be a game between the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns at 4:30pm ET. To cap off the fun, football fans will turn to an AFC East clash with the Miami Dolphins hitting the road to face the Buffalo Bills.
Playing on a short week shouldn’t be a problem for the Vikings, who will be hosting a sputtering Indianapolis team. It also sets up nicely that the team’s Week 16 matchup will be the following Saturday with the New York Giants coming to town.
Bumping the Vikings up into the Saturday slate could’ve been a lot worse. But credit the NFL for dishing out a noon CT kick for Kirk Cousins, otherwise known as the Afternoon Assassin.
