The Minnesota Vikings won their fifth-straight game on Sunday, defeating the New Orleans Saints 27-19.

Joshua Dobbs continues to impress after being thrust into the starting role on short notice. The defense also continues to improve and is in the top half of the league in opponent points and yards per game.

Now, let's take a look at the good, the bad, and the ugly from this last game.

The Good: Joshua Dobbs continues to impress

Joshua Dobbs has done more than simply keep the Vikings afloat- he is helping the team thrive. Dobbs has won both of his games as the Vikings’ QB and has looked more than serviceable in the process.

Against the Saints, Dobbs threw for 268 yards and 1 TD. The QB also ran for 44 yards and 1 TD. Most importantly, Dobbs did not turn the ball over at all against a tough Saints' defense. This Vikings team can not only win with Dobbs, they very well could get to the playoffs with him.

The Bad: Greg Joseph continues to miss

Once again, Joseph missed a field goal in Week 10. The kicker has missed at least one field goal in 4 games this season.

On the season, Joseph is just 5-of-10 on kicks of 40+ yards. Between 20-39 yards, Joseph is perfect. Anything further than that is a coinflip, and that's simply not good enough. This late in the season, there may not be a better option available. However, I would be surprised to see Joseph back in Minnesota for 2024.

The Ugly: The run game continues to disappoint

Once again, Alexander Mattison had a day to forget on Sunday. The back finished with just 27 yards on 8 carries. Evidently, Kevin O’Connell had seen enough from Mattison, because Ty Chandler ended up getting the most carries with 15.

Chandler definitely had more juice than Mattison, but he still only averaged 3 yards per carry. No matter what the Vikings try at the position, nothing seems to be working this year. Unless Joshua Dobbs is running, the team has minimal success on the ground.
