The Minnesota Vikings are looking for their first 2-0 start since 2016 as they take on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday afternoon. They are also looking to keep another streak as the Vikings are looking for their eighth-consecutive win against the 49ers in the state of Minnesota.

As we look toward the game on Sunday, the Vikings will be without wide receiver Jordan Addison and the 49ers will be without running back Christian McCaffrey. Despite the injuries, both teams have offenses that can gash you for chunk plays and put points up on the board.

Going into Sunday, here is our ultimate preview of the game.

Prediction

What are the Vikings in their current iteration? We saw Darnold look to begin a renaissance but was that a one-week aberration? The 49ers look to be a complete team with weapons galore to attack the Vikings defense. This game will be close but the Vikings come up just short.

Prediction: 49ers 24, Vikings 20
