Not only do you need to play well on the field to be a 5-0 team, the intangibles need to be there Right now, the Minnesota Vikings have it all.
The free agent class assembled by general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has been tremendous for the Vikings in not just bringing in talent but the right talent. Fit has been integral to the Vikings' success this season, and it starts with the six free agents they brought in this offseason.
Blake Cashman is the ultimate teammate
Two of the starters the Vikings brought in this offseason were outside linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel and inside linebacker Blake Cashman, who was mic'd up for the game in week five against the New York Jets.
When Van Ginkel intercepted the pass of Aaron Rodgers and took it for a touchdown, Cashman was forward thinking and made sure he got to keep the ball.
"You gotta hold onto that one," said Cashman as he picks up the ball Van Ginkel intercepted. "You are insane bro."
Cashman didn't just make sure Van Ginkel got to keep the ball, he was going up and down the sidelines hyping him up, saying "Gink is insane. Gink is insane yo."
This is exactly what you want to see from your football team. They are hyping each other up and celebrating their success. Another instance of that was when Camryn Bynum and Josh Metellus were doing the secret handshake from The Parent Trap remake with Lindsay Lohan.
This Vikings team is special in many ways and its due to the performance on the field and the people behind it.
