How to watch Minnesota Vikings vs. Cincinnati Bengals: All eyes will be on backup QBs Carson Wentz and Jake Browning
It’s an important game for both sides.
The Minnesota Vikings have their second home game of the 2025 season this upcoming Sunday when they host the Cincinnati Bengals.
It’s going to be all about the quarterbacks, more so than normal. J.J. McCarthy is coming off a brutal performance against the Atlanta Falcons, losing by a score of 22-6. He threw two interceptions and had a fumble forced on a sack in the second half. It’s not a great start for McCarthy, who entered the season with a lot of hype and a great supporting cast to help him. Unfortunately, he likely won’t be playing on Sunday afternoon due to an ankle injury, meaning that Carson Wentz is in line to get the start.
For the Bengals, they won’t be starting Joe Burrow, who will miss the next few months with a turf toe injury that needs surgery. That means Jake Browning will be getting the start. In theory, this is an easier game for the Vikings to win, but Browning beat Minnesota 27-24 back in 2023.
At 1-1, this feels like a must-win for the Vikings, and the Bengals probably feel the same way, as it will be harder to win without Burrow as the season goes on. Even though it’s a noon game, most of the country will see the Vikings host the Bengals, and you won’t want to miss it.
