The Minnesota Vikings made a flurry of roster moves on Wednesday after several players got banged up this weekend.
Star receiver Justin Jefferson and backup QB Nick Mullens were both placed on IR. The duo will be out for at least four games. Another notable move was the designation given to Kene Nwangwu. The return specialist is now healthy enough to practice and was a full participant on Wednesday.
Three of the team's most important players were limited on Wednesday- WR Jordan Addison, EDGE Marcus Davenport, and CB Akayleb Evans. Lewis Cine joined Nwangwu as a full participant.
Addison is dealing with an ankle, Davenport an elbow, and Evans a knee. It is worth noting that Davenport has previously missed time for an ankle injury, so it's disappointing to see the player dealing with another issue.
Addison is even more important to the team now that Jefferson is gone. KJ Osborn, Brandon Powell, and the recently-elevated Trishton Jackson and N'Keal Harry are the only healthy receivers on the roster.
It is worth monitoring to see if any of the limited players can improve by this weekend. The already-shorthanded Vikes will need all hands on deck.
