Free agency is here and the Minnesota Vikings are primed to make a huge impact. Things began quickly on Sunday afternoon when we saw a fleury of moves with teams extending their own talent. It matches what was reported over the weekend that this free agency class isn't very strong.

As we move forward throughout free agency, the Vikings and general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah are set to be huge players and they got a jumpstart before the beginning of the legal tampering period.

Keep this page bookmarked throughout all of free agency as we keep you updated on all of the Vikings happenings.

Vikings sign WR Rondale Moore

The Vikings announced on their social media they have signed wide receiver Rondale Moore to a one-year contract. He is essentially the Brandon Powell replacement, with ability to both be a YAC machine and a punt returner.

Vikings agree to terms with WR Tim Jones

The Vikings needed someone to replace Trent Sherfield as both a depth wide receiver and on special teams. They got their guy by agreeing to terms with wide receiver Tim Jones, who is a special teams weapon.

Vikings agree to terms with CB Jeff Okudah

The Vikings have added depth to their cornerback room by signing former first-round pick Jeff Okudah. Still just 26 years old and set to enter his sixth NFL season, Okudah has dealt with a rash of injuries that has hindered him throughout his career. It's the perfect reclamation project for Adofo-Mensah.

Vikings trade for RB Jordan Mason

The Vikings made a shocking trade on Saturday night, sending pick 160 and a 2026 sixth-round pick to the San Francisco 49ers for pick 187 and Mason. About to enter his fourth season, Mason is a talented running back that has averaged 5.3 yards per carry in his career, including a 20/100/1 game against the Vikings in week two.

DE Jerry Tillery signs with Chiefs

The Vikings were bound to lose their defensive linemen after signing both Allen and Hargrave and the first one is off the board. The Kansas City Chiefs are signing defensive end Jerry Tillery to a one-year deal.

Vikings re-unite with ILB Eric Wilson

The Vikings have brought back one of their own, as they have agreed to terms with linebacker Eric Wilson. An undrafted free agent out of Cincinnati in 2017, Wilson spent four seasons with the Vikings before playing for four other teams in the last four years

Vikings sign OT Justin Skule

With David Quessenberry as a free agent, the Vikings found their swing tackle, signing former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive tackle Justin Skule. He has played 1,214 snaps in his career, along with starting five games in the 2024 season.

Vikings trade RG Ed Ingram to the Texans

The writing was on the wall with Ingram when the Vikings brought in both Will Fries and Ryan Kelly and that came to fruition on Thursday when they traded him to the Houston Texans for a 2026 sixth-round pick.

Vikings sign CB Tavierre Thomas

The Minnesota Vikings have announced that they have signed defensive back Tavierre Thomas. He spent the 2024 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and is widely regarded as one of the best special teams players in the NFL. He will also provide depth in the secondary.

Trent Sherfield agrees to terms with the Denver Broncos

One of the better special teams players and depth wide receivers in the National Football League will not be returning. Sherfield has agreed to terms with he Denver Broncos on a two-year deal.

Vikings to sign DT Javon Hargrave

The Vikings weren't done on the interior of the defensive line either, as they agreed to a two-year contract with defensive tackle Javon Hargrave. He, like Allen, won't count toward the compensatory pick formula. It's a completely revamped defensive interior for the Vikings, including a pass rush for the first time in a long time.

Vikings agree to terms with Will Fries

The Vikings were serious about their desire to fortify the interior offensive line and they proved in before the new league year started. The Vikings have agreed to terms with former Indianapolis Colts offensive lineman Will Fries on a five-year, $88 million contract. He will be the penciled-in starter at right guard and make a huge impact on McCarthy staying upright.

Vikings continue making huge splashes, sign Jonathan Allen

This is one that Vikings fans have been waiting for. They have signed Jonathan Allen to a massive three-year, $60 million contract. The move fortifies the interior pass rush along with not counting toward the compensatory pick formula.

Vikings sign CB Byron Murphy to extension

We had to wait quite a while for the Vikings to secure their top cornerback, but they did so by keeping a player in-house. Byron Murphy Jr. is coming back to the Vikings on a three-year, $66 million contract.

After seeing the likes of D.J. Reed, Carlton Davis, and Charvarius Ward sign big contracts, it was getting worrisome for the Vikings to land one of the top guys. They had to pay big money to get it done, but it's worth it to keep Murphy in the building, especially at 27 years old.

Vikings make big splash, agree to terms with C Ryan Kelly

The long-awaited potential replacement for Garrett Bradbury has arrived, as the Vikings have agreed to terms with former Indianapolis Colts center Ryan Kelly on a two-year, $18 million contract. It's a fascinating one for the Vikings, as he is a talented player but is nearing the end of his career.

Vikings to sign S Bubba Bolden

The Vikings made a 90-man roster signing in safety Buba Bolden. He was a UDFA out of Miami in 2022 and has yet to play in an NFL regular season game. He spent the 2022 preseason with the Seattle Seahawks and 2023 with the Cleveland Browns. He played in the UFL with the San Antonio Brahmas and Birmingham Stallions last season.

Pair of Vikings depth players agree to terms with Jaguars

Indianapolis Colts agree to terms with S Camryn Bynum

The Vikings have officially lost Camryn Bynum, as he agreed to a four-year deal worth up to $60 million with the Indianapolis Colts. The Vikings had tried to sign Bynum to an extension, but my belief was money was going to be an issue. It didn't make sense that the Vikings would give Bynum $15 million when Theo Jackson was just extended.

Seattle Seahawks agree to terms with QB Sam Darnold

The J.J. McCarthy era is officially set to begin this season, as the Seattle Seahawks have agreed to terms with Sam Darnold on a three-year contract worth $100.5 million. It's essentially the Baker Mayfield contract, which feels about right for Darnold. He earned the right to get paid on a market-level contract that gives him truly life-changing money.

Vikings agree to terms with CB Isaiah Rodgers

The Vikings haven't made a major impact on the free agent market yet, but they have brought in some talented depth by signing Isaiah Rodgers to a two-year, $15 million contract. He returned to the NFL this past year after missing the 2023 season due to a gambling suspension.

Vikings hosting Jonathan Allen on a visit

The Minnesota Vikings are hosting Jonathan Allen on a visit, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. It's a huge thing for the Vikings, as they could use his pass-rush acumen to generate pressure on the quarterback up the middle.

Vikings extend P Ryan Wright

Set to be a restricted free agent, Wright signed a one-year contract for $1.75 million that can be worth up to $2 million with incentives. Signing for less than the right of first refusal tender is interesting because it means the Vikings will likely bring in competition. Nevertheless, bringing back Wright is a smart move, especially with him being the holder, as continuity is huge there.

Vikings extend Aaron Jones

Running back was going to be an interesting position for the Vikings to address this offseason, especially with how strong the draft class is. What they did need was a player to stabilize the position for however many rookies they chose to bring in.

The Vikings did just that and barely spent more on the 2025 salary cap to do, as they signed running back Aaron Jones to a two-year, $20 million contract with $13.5 million guaranteed. His salary cap hit rises from $3.2 in projected dead money to a measly $4.8 million

It's a great deal for both the Vikings and Jones and the market price skyrocketed due to the extension for Saquon Barkley.

Vikings extend Theo Jackson

The secondary needs a lot of work this offseason and the Vikings didn't wait very long to do so. On Thursday morning, the Vikings extended safety Theo Jackson for two-years and $12.6 million, keeping him under contract through 2027.

Bringing back Jackson sends a strong signal that the Vikings could be both losing Harrison Smith and Camryn Bynum in free agency. It's also an interesting one for the Vikings, as they are betting on the upside like they did with Josh Metellus.
