The Minnesota Vikings have dealt with a lot of injuries so far this season.

Going into the game on Sunday against the New York Giants, there were still plenty of injuries to deal with, including left tackle Christian Darrisaw. He missed two of the last three games due to the injury, and has been a major question mark all season.

Thursday’s injury report saw some significant improvement for the Vikings, and Friday’s provided much-needed clarity.

Observations

  • Christian Darrisaw being placed on injured reserve is the right thing to do. He continues to deal with his torn ACL and MCL from October of 2024. He should be ready to go for the 2026 season.
  • Gavin Bartholomew enters the game as questionable, and he currently remains on the Physically Unable to Perform List. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him activated.
  • Hargrave missing Sunday’s game isn’t much of a surprise here. He let Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys with a thigh injury.

Observations

  • Four players are out for the Giants, with Kayvon Thibodeaux being the biggest of them.
  • Dexter Lawrence is a big one for the Giants to have, as he’s arguably the best nose tackle in the league.
