The Minnesota Vikings will still add another quarterback to their room before training camp. Right now, their depth chart consists of Kirk Cousins, Jaren Hall, and Nick Mullens. On Friday, the Vikings worked out star XFL QB Jordan Ta'amu. The 25-year old spent time in the NFL during 2019-2021.

Ta’amu played for the St. Louis Battlehawks in the XFL during a pandemic-shortened 2020 season. Last year, he played for the Tampa Bay Bandits in the USFL and led the league in passing yards (2,014) and touchdowns (14).

Most notably, Ta'amu dominated the XFL this season. He won the league's offensive player of the year award after leading the D.C. Defenders to a 9-1 regular season record, throwing for 1,894 yards with 14 touchdowns and just three interceptions. Ta'amu also ran for 298 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns.

Ta'amu is an impressive athlete who simply hasn't seen the field at the NFL level. He's been a part of multiple camps, but he hasn't made a regular season roster yet. Ta'amu was with the Texans in 2019, the Chiefs and Lions in 2020, and the Chiefs, Lions, Commanders and Panthers in 2021.

Keep an eye on him and Minnesota during this offseason. We will see if he signs a deal with them anytime soon.
