Gilmore being out shouldn't be viewed as a surprise. He left Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals with a hamstring injury and did not return. He didn't practice all week so it's not much of a surprise that he won't be playing.

The other element that was a surprise was the inclusion of Harrison Phillips, as he wasn't on the injury report throughout the week.

The rest of the players on the injury report were on all week. They will be making a determination on Reichard's status before Saturday when they have to activate him in order to play on Sunday.

The tough part for the Vikings is they have multiple starters on the injury report as questionable, especially both Van Ginkel and Phillips, who are crucial for the success of the defense.
