The Minnesota Vikings will be without three players on Sunday against the Houston Texans. Outside linebacker Dallas Turner, inside linebacker Ivan Pace Jr. and wide receiver Jordan Addison will all miss the game due to various injuries.

This will be the second consecutive game that Addison misses after suffering his second ankle injury since the beginning of training camp. Head coach Kevin O'Connell cleared up that he is only dealing with one ankle injury right now.

"Yeah, this is just the one that happened on the hip, drop tackle (against the New York Giants.)"

Jordan Addison making progress with ankle injury

Addison didn't practice all of last week, nor did he practice this week either. It raised questions if he was making any progress, something O'Connell cleared up quickly.

"He really did (make progress). He was able to really progress, but just, you know, one of not all the way to the point where we could be 100% confident he wouldn't have a setback of any kind. Jordan's always pushing to go. He was pushing to go last week, but ultimately, the most important thing is, over the long term of the season, getting him back to a place where he's ready to rock and roll."

Addison is a vital part of this Vikings' passing attack, especially without T.J. Hockenson being in the fold, as he is still on the physically unable to perform list recovering from the torn ACL he suffered on Christmas Eve last year.

Jalen Nailor stepped up in a big way for the Vikings last week against the San Francisco 49ers and is in a position to do the same on Sunday.
