At the end of the game, it was more stressful than it should have been, but the Minnesota Vikings swept their bitter division rival Green Bay Packers with another two-point victory, 27-25.
This was a huge win for the Vikings, as their week 18 matchup with the Detroit Lions will be for both the one-seed and the NFC North crown. It will be the first time in NFL history that both of them will be up for grabs in the same game in the final week of the season.
Every time the Vikings get a win, we get a postgame speech from head coach Kevin O'Connell and the latest one is next level.
Kevin O'Connell was fired up after huge win vs. Packers
There were a lot of reasons to be fired up after the Vikings got the win over the Packers. They didn't just beat a division rival and a team with 11 wins, they continued to confirm the culture that O'Connell and general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah have built.
Nothing better epitomizes that culture then the entire roster mobbing quarterback Sam Darnold when he came into the locker room.
The energy in the locker room was palpable, and everyone was in a great mood. That's to be expected, but it wasn't pure bliss and jubilee. The team knew that this wasn't their biggest game of the year or their biggest moment. What they did was celebrate just enough, and O'Connell kept the party going by giving the entire team game balls.
"I got one game ball for everybody in this room. You guys just finished your home season for now, seven and one this year. And we said we wanted to come back here and make this place what it needed to be one more time, which is these people going crazy watching you guys play football. Compete it out for 60 minutes. Every op(opportunity) we get. All right, I know I love watching this team play, but it's, it's obvious to me. There's a whole lot of people that love everything about this team, what you made of, the fight, and, more importantly, your ability to go finish the game, just like we just did. All right? So everybody in here gets one of these."
The Vikings have one of the best teams in the National Football League and arguably are the most fun team in the league. You can watch the entire postgame speech here.

That was way closer on the scoreboard than it was on the field
