The Minnesota Vikings have the best wide receiver in the NFL on their roster in Justin Jefferson.
And they gave him some help last month by selecting USC wide receiver Jordan Addison in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Jefferson and Addison give the Vikings two of the best route runners in the league.
Jefferson and Addison are an impressive one-two punch. And KJ Osborn, a fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, had a solid 2022 season with 60 receptions for 650 yards.
Despite Osborn's solid 2022 season, CBS Sports thinks the Vikings should bring in another wide receiver to compete with the former Miami Hurricanes standout.
CBS Sports suggested this week that five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Jarvis Landry would be a good fit for the Vikings.
From CBS Sports: The Vikings already addressed wide receiver by spending a first-rounder on Jordan Addison, whose route-running skills should pair perfectly with the explosive Justin Jefferson. But Landry shouldn't cost much. If healthy, he'd profile as solid competition for K.J. Osborn in the slot, especially as Minnesota potentially goes even more pass-oriented amid Dalvin Cook's uncertain future.
It's hard to believe but Landy is just 30 years old. The former LSU standout has struggled in recent years — he played in only nine games last season for the New Orleans Saints and caught 25 passes for 272 yards and one touchdown.
A fresh start, however, could be all Landry needs to return to his Pro Bowl form (which we last saw from him in 2019). Playing alongside Jefferson in a situation where Landry is the No. 3 option could be the best situation for the former second-round draft pick.
Landry can't be too picky at this point. And the Vikings could be an ideal destination for the reception machine.
