Pat Jones II out for the second-straight game

The Vikings will be without Jones once again, who also missed last Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. Jones' knee was injured after a low block from Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft blocked him low.

Not having Jones isn't an ideal situation, but he's dealt with knee injuries over the last couple of months, including missing a game against the Atlanta Falcons earlier in the year. In his place will likely be rookie Gabe Murphy, who is likely to be elevated from the practice squad like he was against the Falcons.

Akers is an interesting one for the Vikings. There is reportedly an illness going around at the facility. It causes running back Ty Chandler to miss practice on Friday and quarterback J.J. McCarthy to be sent home as well.

As for Taimani, they will have until Monday to activate him for Monday's game. There is a good chance that he will be activated for the game, as the Vikings don't have a backup nose tackle right now. However, Taimani might not be read to go, even with three consecutive days of full participation.

The Rams are coming into this game significantly healthier than they were in week eight. They had just two players on the injury report all week in right tackle Rob Havenstein and tight end Hunter Long, but they were removed from the injury report and have no designation for the game on Monday.

The game will kick off at 7 p.m. CT on Monday night.
